So long ago in that Beautiful garden full of the breath of and nutrients of heaven Adam and Eve walked and talked with God. They walked in complete health and wholeness, body soul and spirit. God desired to create humanity to not just be their God but their Father. Love was the motivation of God to create mankind and to be with them always. But, one bite of a forbidden fruit changed everything. Have you ever wondered why the fruit was the forbidden food that caused the sin and fall of mankind? What was so significant about eating this fruit that it would cause death to come to not just Adam and Eve, but all of humanity?
We could spiritualize it all day, but you might say it comes down to simple science. I love it when God uses the natural to reveal the supernatural!
Holy Blood
When God created Adam, He formed him from the dust of the ground and then he did something so profound that if you do not understand simple science you will miss it. God, “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being” (Gen 2:7, NKJV). At that very moment, breath wasn’t the only thing that was formed in Adam, his blood was created. The job of the blood of all humanity is to carry oxygen and nutrients throughout your whole body, every organ and every bone. When God breathed into Adam the breath of heaven, at that very moment, the blood of humanity was created and put into action to carry the holy and righteous breath of God to all of his organs and bones. When this occurred, mankind came alive. Adam and Eve not only walked and talked with God, but God dwelt within them…in the very blood that ran throughout their bodies. They dwelt in a garden that was a replica of heaven. Breathing in heaven they thrived in a holy and righteous environment. They would never get sick or never die because the blood that carried the eternal life, character, and nature of God kept them holy and whole in body, soul, and spirit. Their blood carried life.
Defiled Fruit=Defiled Blood
Adam and Eve’s blood line was that of God’s. The blood line of one generation to the next was meant to carry the breath and nutrients of heaven to earth. But one bite changed it all. Satan’s rebellion in heaven caused the fall of himself and the angels that wanted to follow him, but it failed to affect all of heaven’s angels. Satan knew that in order to affect all of mankind, he needed to get the rebellious act of Adam and Eve to affect the bloodline in order to change the very DNA of humanity that would be passed down from generation to generation. This brings us to the fruit.
“But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ Gen 3:3 (NKJV) The forbidden fruit that Eve and Adam bit into introduced them to Evil for the first time. But it did more than that. As Eve ate of this fruit, the defiled and tainted nutrients of it entered her bloodstream, changing her holy and righteous blood. No longer was she holy like God was holy, untouched from sin and evil, but her whole body was affected by what she had just eaten. This principle of science is true today. Our whole body is affected by what we eat and breathe. Now taking it a bit further, science tells us that the Father’s bloodline affects his children. This is why we could carry the bloodline of God the Father. However, this same principle was why it was important for Adam to eat of this fruit too. In order for generation to generation to be affected by tainted and unholy blood, the bad nutrients of the fruit must come through Adam. I have another teaching on why Satan tempted Eve first, but we will leave it there for now.
Sick Blood
The simple act of eating forbidden and defiled fruit left mankind with defiled blood. The blood of mankind was no longer holy and healthy, but full of bad nutrients created by sin. As this blood fueled every organ and every bone, mankind became sick and diseased. We were cursed with death. Because God is holy and mankind is not, we are no longer separated from God in the garden full of heaven’s nutrients and no longer full of the oxygen of heaven. The environment that we breathed in daily was full of evil and darkness causing the bloodline from one generation to the next to become more defiled and sick. We need a blood transfusion.
The Blood Transfusion of Christ
God, moved by love for us, sent His only son full of His pure and holy blood that we might receive a blood transfusion from Christ. Christ didn’t just die in our place for the punishment of sin…He was a blood donor. According to the law of God and the simple science created under His law, “life of the flesh is in the blood” Lev 17:11 (NKJV). Understanding the role of our blood brings this scripture to new light. We needed life and we needed new blood. Jesus poured out His blood on Calvary so that we might, by faith, receive a blood transfusion and be made whole in body, soul, and spirit once again. When we receive Christ, the breath of God enters our body again by the Holy Spirit and when we eat of His word we receive holy and pure nutrients. By the Holy Spirit and the word of God we no longer have to live in sickness, disease, and death. Our bloodline becomes holy again. This is why Jesus says “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 “Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 “For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indcsfg-nov2013-72eed. 56 “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 “As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me” (John 6:53-57, NKJV). Jesus is the first fruit of God. Through Him we reverse the curse of the defiled and forbidden fruit and receive a blood transfusion that brings holy nutrients and oxygen back into our bloodstream.
Family Act of Worship
This lesson not only teaches them the key principals of the gospel message, it also builds their faith in Christ to trust him for healing. I also love the simple science taught as well. I first heard the teaching of the science from my great friend and mentor Becky Fischer. I heard a good preacher say once, “True science always lines up with the word of God”. Take family communion as you meditate on the principals of this teaching.
